A film title, in one of the prominent localities in Malleswaram, Bangalore, ‘18th Cross’ that was in cold storage for four years is gearing up for the release says director Shanker. Director Shanker curses his bad luck for the delay and points that he has shot for the film in 45 days, 62000 feet and spent only Rs.80 lakhs on the making of this film. He has taken one of the incidents happened in 18th Cross Malleswaram for his film.

Explaining the cause of delay director Shanker says the death of producer Chikkanna put the film in the tight spot. It is only after his relatives came up for the release, it took a different turn. Again the financial crisis dogging the post production took lot of time he admits.

Coming late, the film has very good elements for the audience informs director Shanker who has shot the film with the help of two cameramen – BL Babu and PL Ravi.

Deepak has signed his second film after ‘Shisya’ but four of his films got released in the last four years. The situation is similar to actress Radhika Pandit. This ‘18th Cross’ is her debut film but films like ‘Moggina Manasu', 'Love Guru', 'Olave Jeevana lekkachara’ have given good standing for the actress.
