Even though Irrfan Khan managed his first solo hit in the form of 'Paan Singh Tomar' and would now be seen in the biggest Hollywood film of the year so far, 'The Amazing Spiderman', he is in no hurry to sign more films in a jiffy.

In an industry strapped of reliable actors who can also emerge as stars and deliver successes, Irrfan has turned out to be an unsuspecting entry albeit a little late in the day.

Even as big bucks await him and there are filmmakers vying for his attention, Irrfan wants to stay grounded instead of making any impulsive decision.

"Big bucks can entice anyone. However what I am trying to do is safeguard myself from the situation where I end up doing films just for monetary reasons.

Reason being that when you do a film for money, the cash flow does look good but the journey is really a painful experience.

I would rather earn less than accept such films where I stay frustrated and irritated on the sets", says Irrfan, "Instead I would rather strive for a situation where I can do the kind of work I can do and earn money for the producers and myself. That’s my goal."

Well, here is hoping that 'The Amazing Spiderman' turns out to be a stepping stone towards Irrfan reaching his goal. The film releases all over this Friday.
