‘DGG’ Starts

After 48 years of film life an association in the name of veteran actor, director and producer Dwarakish has come up. It is ‘Dwarakish Geleyara Gumpu’ evolved on 9th October 2010 at Gayana Samaja in the presence of Dr Shanthaveera Swamiji of Koladha Math, KFPA producer KCN Chandrasekhar, veteran CV Shivashanker and Mohan Nagammanavar a literary personality from Dharwad.

The respected Swamiji Shanthaveera recommended that Dwarakish should keep the title of ‘Vishnuvaradhan’ for his film and there is no binding for him. Anyone can keep any name he opined.

The grand 50th year entry of Dwarakish to cinema should be celebrated in all districts and in New Delhi said Swamiji. He also mentioned that Dwarakish also deserves an honorary doctorate.

KCN Chandrasekhar disclosed that he is a fan of Dwarakish from childhood. He adds impetus to any program he opined.

At the evolution of ‘DGG’ Dwarakish said, “How long would I live? I am 68. I want to do good work in the balance of years, so I will live. I do not ask money from anyone for running this DGG. I will increase `5 per ticket of my under production film ‘Vishnuvaradhan’ and make it as a capital for DGG”, he stated.

Mohan Nagammanavar came from Dharwad to this function and veteran CV Shivashanker also spoke on the occasion. Actress Shruthi, her father, mother, daughter, Shivaramanna, Bhavya, Ramesh Bhat, Sri Raksha, Phani Ramachandra, Honnavalli Krishna, Muthuraj were also present at the DGG formation evening.
