'Don 2' is a very good success and at the last count, it is a hit at the least. With 100 crores already coming within two weeks flat and possibility of a superhit status also round the corner, Shahrukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar are the last men standing. Though one did wonder before the film's release if it's marketing and promotion of this film was a tad weak, Farhan justifies it by stating that it was a well thought out strategy.

"We had to strategise the film's arrival in such a way that urgency created amongst the audience to watch it had to be innovative and timed correctly," says Farhan who has just returned from a holiday which has recharged him enough to get into the thick of action all over again, "The idea was to pump up the awareness in such a manner that people don't get excited about 'Don 2' way too soon. Also, what worked in our favour was the fact that as a film and the character, 'Don' is known by one and all. This means that I didn't have to scream from the rooftops to announce its arrival. It released and then spoke for itself."

Well Farhan, it is indeed speaking for itself.
