They proved to be successful ‘partners’ on big screen but unfortunately their partnership didn’t seem to be so strong to continue further.

Talks are that after their movie ‘Partner’, Salman Khan was quite keen to work with co-star Govinda again. Salman, who is going to produce the remake of Mahesh Manjrekar's popular Marathi film ‘Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho’ in Hindi wanted Govinda to play the main lead; however the latter turned down the offer.

In fact, the ‘Dabangg’ actor had been pressing Govinda for nearly three years but he turned out to be quite adamant and refused the film citing that he didn’t like the film. Hmmmm, maybe Govinda still bores old wounds in mind. Few years ago Govinda had requested Salman to help his daughter to be launched in Bollywood. However, instead then Salman took more interest in Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha and launched her in his film ‘Dabangg’ and now she has now turned out to be most successful actresses today.

Tentatively titled 'God Only Knows', the film is expected to start its shooting in February and it will have Salman in a cameo role.

Released in 2010, ‘Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho’, which starred Sachin Khedekar, Bharat Jadhav and Saksham Kulkarni, is about a father’s mission to see his son as the best student. The success of the film lead to its remake in Tamil, Telugu and Bengali as well.

Speculations have been rife that Paresh Rawal is being considered for the protagonist but Salman clarified saying that they are yet to finalise the film’s cast.
