'Entertainment' took a decent start at the box office and stayed stable right through the weekend. A family outing, it fetched some mixed reviews with some critics really loving it while others, who tend to bend towards art-house cinema, not quite accepting then kind of humor which was in the offering. However for audience in large, the word of mouth was decent to good, as a result of which no one quite came back complaining.

As a result, around 37 crore came in over the weekend gone by which is a fine start for this Tips and Pen production. Of course, what is of importance is the fact that the film would now have to be very stable at the box office right through the weekdays since there is major competition coming up in the form of 'Singham Returns'. Since both films are targeting masses, it would be interesting to see how the two complement each other in their first and second week respectively.

Akshay Kumar has managed to find all around positive reviews for him though, and what is all the more notable is the fact that he has showed his range within a couple of months itself by first doing 'Holiday' and now 'Entertainment'. The film deserves to find an audience for itself and currently it is pretty much a wait and watch scenario to see the kind of distance it covers from this point on.
