As a little child, he saw a film with his parents and an objectionable scene that embarrassed both him and his parents stayed in his mind. Little Priyan decided then that when he grew up, he would make clean entertainers. Today, Priyan looks at Percept Pictures' ‘Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal’, his latest offering and smilingly terms it "a cute entertainer."

Priyan promises a great village drama unfolding in the form of ‘Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal’. Grins he when quizzed if KDM is a remake, "Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal is adapted from the Malayalam film, Marykkundoru Kunjaadu."

Armed with a starcast known for their histrionics including Nana Pateker, Paresh Rawal, Shreyas Talpade, Om Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Razak Khan, Neeraj Vora and newfind Madhhurima, Priyan, who is three decades into filmmaking with 86 films, is still very modest... "Are you looking at a great box office collection? I would love to, but nobody can prove a box office hit when he is making a film. It is the same with me too. I have survived for thirty years with 84 films in four languages and yet I have not found the formula for a successful film, even before it is made. As long as my films excite the audience I am happy. The audience today wants different kind of films. Films like 'Kahaani', 'Housefull 'and '3 Idiots'have proved that, and how!"

Need we add, KDM, all set to hit the marquee on Sept 28, is one such film!
