After a series of dramatic-thriller outings, Ram Gopal Verma is back with 'Department'. While his love for good v/s bad is known, especially when it comes to cops and underworld, 'Department' is an extension of the same and the filmmaker acknowledges that this is the most 'masala' film made by him till date.

"That's true," he says, "This is the closest that a film of mine has come to being an out and out Bollywood entertainer. The subject and the story demand a lot of intensity and violent emotions to it. The way the movie has been publicised is the same way in which it has been designed. So yes, you can all it the most 'masala' film made by me."

Well, talking of violence, he seems to be hell bent on shooting different side of gangsters time and again. Seems like the trend is being repeated in 'Department' as well.

"I think by now everyone knows I have a fascination for cops and underworld and for me they are interrelated," he smiles, "In the course of making 'Satya' and 'Company', I have met a lot of cops for my research and have seen and noticed the internal working of the police department quite minutely. These intricacies have stayed on in my mind that has finally germinated into 'Department'."

Hope we indeed get to see some inside stories unfolding here.
