‘Jothegara’ postponed

The controversial film ‘Jothegara’ starring charming Ramya and lovely star Premkumar produced by Ashwini Ramprasad is locked in the financial crisis. The film is not likely to release unless the IDBI loan and other financial commitments are cleared first. The film ‘Jothegara’ directed by Singamani that has Sujith Shetty music and Raghav camera work was supposed to hit the screen on Friday (5th June) all over Karnataka.

According to sources nearly 2.15 crore is the commitment of producer Ashwini Ramprasad and this is the fifth Kannada film locked in the financial crisis off late with IDBI. The other Kannada films locked in loan with IDBI are ‘Thipparahalli Tharlegalu (Starring S Narayan, Komal Kumar, Om Prakash Rao directed by S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu), Bhimoos Bang Bang Kids (Starring Upendra, Parvathi Milton, Ramya - directed by S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu), Boss (Starring Darshan and Tamil actor Prabhu as cop in the film) and Raj The Showman’ (Starring Puneeth Rajakumar, Nisha Kothara directed by Prem) it is reliably learnt.

According to hero of the film ‘Jothegara’ Premkumar the film publicity is lacking and there are no posters found in the city and the interiors. Producer Ashwini Ramprasad brother Krishnaprasad is trying to work out but finance is not cleared it is difficult for the release of the film he says.
