‘Koffi Shop’ stalled!

It was a major event on Friday to stall the release of dubbed film to Kannada ‘Koffi Shop’. Blue Fox Cinemas AS Geetha Krishna sailed against the wind but submerged.

Seeking the court support Geetha Krishna also released advertisements for the release. In Bangalore Swapna theatre ‘Koffi Shop’ was not screened. ‘Prithvi’ of Puneeth Rajakumar was screened. At Olympia in Mysore sensing protest ‘Koffi Shop’ was not screened according to advertisements. Darshan starring ‘Gaja’ was screened.

In Hubli’s Roopam and Belagavi Swaroop ‘Koffi Shop’ was released. There were only 15 persons inside the theatre. In other places the satellite screening was stalled.

There is no scope for this kind of dubbed Kannada films in the state claims the leaders of the Kannada cinema industry. The leaders of Kannada cinema industry are discussing with the government of Karnataka for passing a bill in this direction.

According to some of the Kannada cinema industry personnel only in the close ups director Geetha Krishna gone for Kannada dialogues and dubbed the language for it.
