Ramu latest flick ‘Rann’ based on media and its power will finally see the screens this Friday provided RGV agrees for an out of court settlement with writer Sonal Mehta.

Sonal has dragged RGV and the makers of ‘Rann’ to court claiming that the film is based on her script.

RGV has been shouting; loud that it’s a last minute arm twisting tactics common nowadays to gain some mileage and hoopla but IndiaGlitz has confirm reports of the film producers agreeing on principle terms to pay the compensation to the writer to avoid any hassles during ‘Rann’ release this Friday.

Its been heard that the sum is likely to be 55 lakhs which the writer seemed to have earned by producing SMS messages and e-mail in court to prove her charges that Rann was indeed based on her script.

The court has passed the judgment in her favour.

Co-producer Madhu Mantena says, "We're in the process of making an out-of-court settlement. But Ramu is dead against it. However, the prints of Rann have to be sent out and we can't afford any more delay."

Ram Gopal Varma says, ‘on principle, I'm against this kind of compromise. But we have no time and cannot delay our release."
