Munnariyippu

After a lag in the film release, Mammootty will now have three back to back releases in 'Munnariyippu, Manglish and Rajadhiraja'. Munnariyippu by Venu was earlier planned to hit the theatres by the mid of June, but somehow it got postponed. But as of now it has been fixed that the more commercial film 'Manglish' by Salam Baapu' will be on theatres first. Manglish' will be released by the 28th of this month as a Ramzan release.

It is reported that Megastar Mammootty himself is behind this decision to change the release dates of his films. Since 'Munnariyippu' has already gathered an image of a art house or serious movie, it will be difficult to make it an instant hit. Since the star is currently facing some problems with a lot of flops this year, Mammootty calculates that it is easy to convert a pucca commercial film like 'Manglish' into a hit.

'Munnariyippu' which is said to feature Mammootty in a role that has a potential to win him an award will now get released just before Onam by the end of August.
