‘Pattalam’ might be the first silver screen directorial venture for Rohan Krishna, but he does have a few accolades under his belt, especially his successful ventures with children in 'Kana Kaanum Kaalangal'.

Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, one of the trendsetting soaps in the Tamil television scenario, was Rohan’s brainchild! In fact, he had also directed over 175 successful episodes of the serial before he took on his silver screen dreams to make 'Pattalam'.

A former assistant to directors Priyadarshan and Santhosh Sivan, Rohan was a gold medalist from the Film Institute, Tharamani. He also bagged a National Award for his very first short film, 'Paramapadham'. His other short film, titled LL Chandru IVth B was selected for the Indian Panorama and was even recipient of the Best Short Fiction in Zimbabwe.

Given his successful credentials with children, the ‘Pattalam’ director hopes he can recreate this success on the silver screen as well. 'Pattalam' is a movie based on children and is produced by N Lingusamy’s brother Subash Chandra Bose. It is ready for release this month end.
