There was no hype or buildup. The music of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavanan’ got into stores silently today. A music launch which was expected to be an event of the year was quiet and unplugged. The Hindi release was a mega show with Abhishek Bachchan and its music director A R Rahman performing on stage to an audience of celebrities.

However sources close to ‘Raavanan’ say that there’s going to be a ‘Raavanan’ promotional meet on May 14 in Chennai which will double up as the music night in which Vikram and Priyamani will perform along with A R Rahman.

As he did for the Hindi, Mani Ratnam will offer the show only for select invitees and the media. We have earlier reported in IndiaGlitz that Mani Ratnam and his ‘Raavanan’ team will go on a promo tour from the last week of May. ‘Raavanan’ is releasing on June 18.
