Ram Gopal Varma who had made a film on the factional violence in Rayalaseema region with a fictitious story based on real life incidents that occurred in Telugu Desam leader Paritala Ravi, which ultimately led to his killing.

However, with the film is too lengthy, the director reportedly decided to divide into two parts with Paritala Ravi’s entry into politics in the first part and the revenge drama which claimed his life as a latter part.

The second half features Suriya in the lead role. Ram Gopal Varma gave a hint at the end of ‘Rakta Charitra’ about the entry of Suriya.

Now, RGV announced the release date of Rakta Charitra-2 now. As per the announcement, Rakta Charitra-2 is going to hit across the state on November 26.
