Madhu Shalini may be currently in the middle of a storm, what with speculations around her being replaced by a Brazilian dancer for an item number in 'Department'/ However the young entrant in the world of Bollywood is moving ahead. While Sanjay Dutt hasn't commented on the replacement yet while Ram Gopal Varma has rubbished the piece of news, one looks forward to the kind of position that this South import manages to create for herself in this multistarrer affair.

Though a few have questioned if her character may just get way too marginalised in the film, more so since Rana Daggubati has an important part to play as well, Madhu Shalini is indeed confident about making her mark despite heavy weights like Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan.

"You have to watch the film before making any assumptions," she smiles, "Until and unless my character wasn't important, Ramu sir wouldn't have retained it and cast an actor to enact that. You know how he is. To answer your question though, the role is pretty substantial and would definitely leave an impact. Also, going by the number of days I have shot for the film, I know where it truly stands."

While she managed to pass through the first stage of her much anticipated nervousness when it came to acting alongside Dutt, Madhu is yet to encounter Amitabh Bachchan.

"Aaah, now I am sure that would be something", she says animatedly, "Isn't it just unfortunate that I haven't met Mr. Bachchan till date? I am so looking forward to that. Ramu sir, are you listening?"

We hope he is!
