Today is the big day of Democracy in India. One of her biggest states Tamilnadu is going in for polling in all of its 39 constituencies with Pndicherry, the nearby Union territory constituency.

From lay men to VIP's people belonging to every section of the society are queuing in the polling stations right from morning 7 am. Tamil cinema stalwarts also took time to exercise their voting rights.

Superstar Rajinikanth, a resident of Poes Garden, that comes under the Central Chennai constituency was the first VIP to vote in the polling booth at Stella Marys college for women After voting, "Happy to vote" was the star's first reaction to the questions from press people who had gathered to catch the star coming to perform his electoral duty.

Rajinkanth's best pal and his competitor in the industry, 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan voted in a corporation school located at Teynampet The Padma Bhushan actor is a resident of Alwarpet.

Kamal after coming out of the polling booth said,"To prove that we are a strong democracy, everyone should come out and vote".

It is worth recalling that the veteran actor who had appeared in the public awareness campaign video of Tamilnadu Election commission, had urged to the people not to sell their vote for cash and to use their vote to select the deserving candidate.

Many other Tinsel town celebrities are expected to follow the two icons and cast their vote without fail today.
