For filmmaker M Saroj Kumar, his debutant venture ‘Thairiyam’ would be quite appropriate to the title. “The movie starring newcomer Kumaran, Dheepu and Karthiga would be action all the way,” he says.

Throwing light on the film, he says, “it is about a youth who takes up the many challenges that life throws at him and happily overcomes them. Unlike other newcomers, Kumaran has undergone intense training in martial arts, horse riding and dancing before venturing into acting.”

The movie boasts of a huge star cast which includes Pandiarajan, Radha Ravi, Ajay Rathnam, Vasu Vikram, Aarthi, Devan, Manobala, Pragathy among others. Music is by R D Mohansingh and M N Surendhar.

“Kumaran runs a gym in the city. He incurs the wrath of an influential localite without realising that it is his sister whom he has fallen in love with. How he rises to the challenges of this situation is brought out in the rest of the story,” Saroj Kumar says.

The stunt sequence towards the climax was shot for over 15 days and involved hundreds of stunt men, claims the director. Produced by R B Creations, ‘Thairiyam’ will hit the screens soon.
