While Farhan had stepped in as a director in 'Don 2', in 'Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara' he was also a lead protagonist whereas 'Game' was the only film where he was seen only in the capacity of a producer. The very fact that his last film as a director was 'Don' pretty proves that he is picking and choosing his assignments quite sparsely. Though one does expect that he would select his next assignment much earlier, how does he feel he has evolved from the days of 'Dil Chahta Hai' which he had directed a decade ago.

Says Farhan, "See, if I had to be analytical about my work then I think that with every film there is a certain learning that comes in. You learn more about what you are doing and doors keeps opening up. That helps get you a lot more courageous and it is something which is really important since filmmaking is not an easy process; there is a lot of stress involved."

He throws some more points if wisdom, "Also, there is a combination of so many things that come together to create a solitary shot. You have to sometimes think out of box on how to bring alive then moments that were earlier relegated only to your fantasies. More you push yourself, more certain you get about picking up far more difficult assignments because what seemed impossible five years ago can be attempted today. Success could make you complacent but as long as you are willing to be brave, you can push the boundaries further."

Here is hoping that you don't wait for another five years for your next assignment and direct a film much earlier.
