While for Vidya Balan, 'The Dirty Picture' is a special film, the same holds true for her co-star Emraan Hashmi too. Reason being that this Milan Luthria directed film is also one of the rare instances where the actor has graduated from having a relatively more mature woman as his leading lady instead of a newbie or a relatively much younger girl, something that has been the case in his last few films like 'Murder 2' (Jacqueline Fernandez), 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' (Shruti Hassan), 'Crook' (Neha Sharma) and 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' (Prachi Desai).

"That's right," Milan nods in agreement here, "'The Dirty Picture' is the first instance of Emraan working with a huge female star. Vidya is very different from all these girls with whom he has shared screen space. When you have someone like Vidya opposite you, even your approach towards a scene is bound to change. Moreover let's not forget that the kind of pairing that Emraan and Vidya share is unique in its own way. It is akin to the meeting of two completely different worlds."

When it comes to meeting of two different worlds then that pretty much holds true for Milan himself. Once rumoured to be at loggerheads with his producer Ekta Kapoor during the making of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai', seems like the success of the Ajay Devgn-Emraan Hashmi starrer managed to wash away all the blues. What else can explain the fact that after 'The Dirty Picture', Ekta has also commissioned Milan to make the sequel of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai'.

"All I can say is that it has been three years and people are still trying to prove that there has been something wrong when the fact is that it was perfectly right from the beginning," smiles Milan. "I have been puzzled to see that people have so much time to gossip when there are no issues whatsoever between two professionals. And this, I hope, is the last time I have spoken on this so-called 'issue'."

'The Dirty Picture' releases worldwide on 2nd December.
