Making a film in shoe string budget is a challenge. When the content supports it, there is nothing like that. This is what exactly happened for Chandrakanth from his debut film ‘143’.

The entire shoot on 80x100 area of a car shed, six songs planned it and some strange things happening earns good score for this film ‘143’.

Chandrakanth with multiple responsibilities makes it a colorful watch and music director Vinu Manas plus cameraman Rajasekhar supported him to a great extent. The intelligence of Chandrakanth is that he has converted spacious garage in to a living room, working space, sleeping suite. Interestingly, set design changes for every dream song, which creates an impression that, the film is being shot somewhere. The lighting and colors deployed for day and night is another interesting element worked out by this director in his debut.

It is about the life of Mechanic (Chandrakanth) who spends 24 hours with a beautiful Muslim girl (Kavisha Bist). There are only two characters in this film of 135 minutes. For mechanic the girl in his custody because of section 144 clamped is his 143rd girl in life. He has found qualities that are interesting in the Muslim girl.

This is worth watching for the intelligence of Chandrakanth. He has set an example through this film and his creativity is admirable.

Score – 7/10
