16 journos have links with drug cartels: Reports

So far, students, IT techies and film celebs alone have been named in connection with the drug abuse scandal. It has now emerged that the city's drug cartels have links with journalists as well.

On investigating a suspect named Piyush, the cops have reportedly found out that 16 journos have had indirect or direct links with suppliers of forbidden drugs. Eight of them are currently working with various TV channels, while the rest are said to be crime beat reporters.

These journos cultivated Piyush on the pretext of having fun in parties, lunches in hotels, etc.

Informed sources have it that these journos will be served notices asking them to submit to an inquiry.
