The association of MM Keeravani and K Raghavendra Rao dates back to the days of Allari Alludu. It was their first film together. Since then, the two of them have worked for 23 films. If KRR astounded some 'strict' people and critics by choosing him as the music director of Annamayya, Keeravani took the entire State by a pleasant surprise with his outstanding musical output after the film released.

Years later, the big album of Shirdi Sai could well turn out to be another masterpiece. "There are 13 songs, 2 short ditties and a bhajan song in the album. We are planning to start the RR from July 5 onwards," he says.

Keeravani had been using a Ganapathi (the preferred deity, who is worshipped before starting a venture) bhajan originally composed by him for his movies. KRR wanted him to us a Sai kirtan for his films. "I have used the song composed on Sai for the 23 films," he says. Given the attachment to Sai, one can safely expect that the album is "going to rock," as Srikanth might want to say.
