'2.0' set at gargantuan cost

Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' is on its final stages of shooting. The sci-fi entertainer, directed by Shankar also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in lead roles. Produced by Lyca Productions on a humongus scale Rs. 400 crores, the magnum opus is being made in 3D format.

Generally, a set made at a cost of Rs.1 crore is considered huge. The makers of '2.0' have apparently decided to take this scale to huge level. We learn from a source that a set at Poonamalee near Chennai is being erected at a cost of Rs.20 crores.

Even the First Look poster was released in a grand function held in Mumbai at a whopping budget of Rs. 6 crores. '2.0', thou name is extravaganza!
