400 crore plus!

This is how Sajid Nadiadwala's score read in 2014 when he released Highway, 2 States, Heropanti and Kick. With these four films bringing in 29 crore, 53 crore, 102 crore and 232 crore respectively, it was a landmark year for Nadiadwala Grandson as the production house went on to reaffirm its supremacy in the film industry with back to back successes.

Now in 2016, close to 200 crore have already come in for Nadiadwala Grandson with Housefull 3 [109 crore] and Baaghi [77 crore] doing very good business. With Dishoom set for release on the coming Friday and expected to go past the 100 crore mark, it is pretty much on the cards that Sajid Nadiadwala would have a good reason to keep smiling with 2016 closing around the 300 crore mark.

"This is expected since as an entertainer, Dishoom has all the right ingredients in place. The look is fresh and vibrant, the action is talk of the town, the theme mixes the core of match fixing and cricket well with buddy drama all around and as for the glamour quotient, there is Jacqueline Fernandez to close the loop. This isn't all as Sajid is also bringing back Akshaye Khanna on the big screen, which is going to be a special attraction for sure. The entire film has been packaged quite impressively and with Pritam delivering some good foot tapping tunes that go totally with the narrative, Dishoom is expected to rock," says an insider.

The film couldn't have enjoyed a better release timing either. Since it is the solo arrival on 29th July and is arriving at the time when Sultan euphoria has been exhausted, there is no issue whatsoever in terms of the count of screens and the best show timings that it would enjoy. Eros is releasing the film on a huge scale and is making sure that no stone is left unturned to pitch the film correctly across all segments of audience and in every nook and corner of the country.

"That's correct," says a close associate, "Sajid and Eros are working in close conjunction to make sure that after Housefull 3, the John Abraham and Varun Dhawan starrer turns out to be a biggie as well. They have partnered on many a successful film together and Dishoom should be a good extension. Moreover, director Rohit Dhawan, John Abraham and Eros have a good relationship too since they have worked together in Desi Boyz. They are aiming for Dishoom to be twice as big at the Box Office."

Well, we would know once the film hits the screens on 29th July.
