As we all know Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Theri' is getting ready to hit the screens on April 14 2016 as a grand Tamil New Year treat. Actor Suriya's mega budget sci-fi flick '24' is also aiming on an April release. The makers are planning to release the film on April 14 if 'Theri' could not make it to the deadline or in the last week of April as a clash between these two extraordinary biggies is not possible.

So it is most likely that '24' will be releasing on April 29, the last Friday of the month. Udhayanidhi Stalin's 'Manithan' the Tamil remake of Bollywood super hit 'Jolly LLB' which is in its post production stage is also expected to hit the screens on the same date.

The makers of the political thriller 'Ko 2' had earlier announced an April release. Now we learn from reliable sources we learn that the Bobby Simha-Nikki Galrani starrer will be hitting the screens on April 29 as the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections have been scheduled for May.

We will have to wait and watch the turn of events to see whether this speculation of a three pronged Kollywood box office competition becomes true. If that happens, no doubt, it will be a tremendous treat for Kollywood film buffs.
