Among the recent releases, Deeppavali, Mozhi and Paruthi Veeran have been getting good reviews and trade has it that all the three films are decent hits with good profits.

Deeppavali has Jayam Ravi and Bhavana in the lead roles and the film comes from director Ezhil. The producer of this film is director Lingusamy and his brother Bose, under the banner Thirupathi Brothers. This film has been attracting family audiences and reports from all over Tamil Nadu have confirmed that this film is doing well, particularly in A centres and cities outside Chennai.

The strengths of this film are good performances by the lead stars, melodious songs, Vijay Milton’s cinematography and an unusual climax. This film is a package of love, action, sentiment and comedy in the right proportions. Those who prefer entertainment on a platter flock to Deeppavali.

Mozhi, the film which has come as a whiff of fresh air, is doing well too. This Radha Mohan directed film stars Jyothika, Prithviraj, Prakash Raj and Swarnamalya in the lead roles and the major strengths of this film are the fabulous performances of the lead stars, crystal clean dialogues, sparkling wit and a positive note which is an undercurrent of the film. There is no villain or vamp, no action sequences with exaggerated heroism, and no distasteful remarks on physical disabilities.

On the other hand, this film proves that physical handicaps need not necessarily give rise to low self-esteem or self-pity. In fact, Jyothika is a proud and confident young woman in this film and this is one of the factors that makes the film ‘truly different’ from the rest of the films which have mocked or made fun of disabilities and physically challenged persons.

Paruthi Veeran from Ameer is a dark and yet, interestingly daring film that challenges prevalent trends in cinema. The film is noticeable for many reasons. Be it the bold theme, rural settings, folk flavours or the hard-hitting climax, this film has successfully rewritten usual norms. It requires confidence to play a role as heavy as this in the first film itself and debutant Karthi has done it with spontaneity and ease. Priya Mani, who was hitherto unnoticed, has proved naysayers wrong with her powerful performance.

Ameer is now a name to reckon with and his name is now among the top in the list of promising directors. This film has taken a good opening and is already doing well in city as well as suburbs.

Indiaglitz, understandably, is on a roll now. We are the official online partners of all the three films and hence we are happy and rejoice in the success of Deeppavali, Mozhi and Paruthi Veeran. Good reports of all the three films have been pouring in and we are only too pleased that we are associated with the awesome threesome-Deeppavali, Mozhi and Paruthi Veeran.
