After a seven year sabbatical, Jyothika affectionately called as Jo will be making a comeback to Tamil cinema. The actress is coming back for the remake of Malayalam runaway hit movie 'How old are you' which received critical acclaim. 36 Vayadhinilae focuses mainly on how society looks at middle aged women and stereotypes them.

The film is directed by Rosshan Andrews, who also directed the original, and maintaining the screenplay from Bobby Sanjay too. There was much talk about Jyothika’s return to the screen and will be interesting to see if the actress will go on to act in the future too, well, that’s something time will definitely tell, but for now the first look speaks a lot with Jyothika clad in sarees, and interestingly it might be, the actress is now 36 years old too.

Apart from Jo, the cast includes Rahman in a supporting role, Nassar, Delhi Ganesh, Prem, Devadarshini and many other known faces. The Malayalam movie had Manju Warrier in lead role, who also returned after a 15 year sabbatical from cinemas. How old are you won the hearts of many for its simple yet provoking portrayal on the lines of English Vinglish. The middle aged women of India always go through various stereotyped transitions, as the routine, housewife without much excitement that is where 36 Vayadhinile springs out with a surprise.

Santhosh Narayanan the happening lad currently has composed music for this movie, in all there are eleven tracks and they are already becoming a rage. Considering the genre of the movie, BGM would definitely play a big role and with this youngster at the helm of composing, lets find out if the intent is loud and clear.

The movie is rather a family outing for Jo, as it's produced by Suriya and is expected to hit the screens by this summer. Jo’s comeback is touted to be one of the biggest, so keep watching this space for more updates!
