Debutant director Anand should know the popular comedy films have come and gone treating the funny bones. The issue before him should have been to supersede such quality films made in Kannada. This is missing in his comedy flick with routine stuff in it. The youths should follow the right path for living is not a new thing.

Not finding proper employment the youths - Vasu (Vasu), Ganesh (Anand), Naveen (Naveen) and Spanner (Prasanna) agree to the idea of Suvarana (Namratha Hegde). Accordingly they kidnap a rich family girl Sheetal (Harshika Pooacha) and bring her to a bungalow where four persons are already living. With a gun point the gang of five brings fear in everyone and calls the rich man Lokanath (JK) the father of Sheetal.

In the gap of Lokanath coming with a suitcase containing Rs.2 crores half a dozen persons come to this bungalow add more confusion. Finally the youths - 5 Idiots are disappointed in their effort. Lokanath father of Sheetal offers employment for all the five.

The mainstay of this film is Harshika Poonacha. She is very lively throughout her presence. Dialogues in some places are good but not a rip-roaring comedy film indeed.

The song shot on Vasu and Harshika Poonacha with no lyrics in it is a new development. Drummer Deva has lifted the tunes for other two songs. Renu has one major portion bungalow to show his talent. He is partly successful.

Scoring - 4/10
