Puri Jagannath, who bagged two awards for his film 'Pokiri' in the category of Best director and Best Hero says, 'When I started my film 'Pokiri', I told my wife that I would not return home until I make something interesting and make the film a big hit. I almost stopped going home for about six months. However, my wife did not chide me nor cursed me. Hence I am dedicating this award to my wife.'

Best Actor awardee in Telugu, Maheshbabu, could not attend the function as his grandmother was unwell. However, in a letter he stated, 'I am very happy at achieving this award. I thank all my well-wishers and fans on the occasion.' His wife Namrata, who received the award, read out a letter sent by Maheshbabu, wherein he stated that he was dedicating the award to his grandmother.

Legendary Award winner Mammotty says, 'I thank Filmfare for choosing me for this award. Moreover it is quite thrilling to receive the award from the ever-legend Amitabh. I thank all the south Indian audiences in this regard.'

Ram, who received the 'Best Debut Hero' award says, 'I am very happy that the first award bagged by me is a prestigious Filmfare Award. I dedicate this award to YVS Choudary, who made me a hero.'

Ileana, who received the 'Best Debut Heroine' award says, 'I have to thank many people for bagging this award. Especially I thank YVS Choudary in this regard. I also thank my parents who were encouraging me always.'

Hemanth, who bagged the 'Best Kannada Playback Singer' award says, 'It was a thrilling moment. This is my first-ever award. I thank one and all who were supporting me.'

Chitra, who bagged the 'Best Female Singer' both in Kannada and Malayalam categories, says, 'I feel I am honoured for bagging the Filmfare award.'

KJ Yesudas, who received the Best Male Playback Singer in Malayalam, says, 'I thank the God, my parents, my team in this regard. I thank all those directors and producers who were supporting and encouraging me for the last 45 years.'

K Kalyan, who received the Best Lyricist Award in Kannada says, 'I thank those who made me literate, and the audiences who were supporting me in the film industry.'

Veturi Sundararama Murthy, who bagged the 'Best Lyricist Award' in Telugu says, 'I am indebted to all those who were encouraging and promoting me as a lyricist for the past 38 years. I bagged this award for 'Uppongele Godavari…' song. My producer, director and my brother-like SP Balasubrahmanyam have their own share in this award.'

Mamata Mohandas, who bagged the Best Female Playback singer in Telugu, expressing her happiness, says, 'I thank Devisri Prasad in this regard. I am very happy for bagging a Filmfare award in Telugu, which was also my debut film. My special thanks to the audiences, who were encouraging me and made the song a big success.'

Best Tamil Male Playback Singer Murugan says, 'I thank one and all who were responsible for bagging this award by me.'

Best Tamil Female Playback Singer awardee, Shreya Ghoshal says, 'I am extremely thrilled and excited. This is my first-ever award in south Indian cinema. I thank the Filmfare jury for choosing me for this award. Especially I thank Rehman for the award.'

Kannada Best Supporting Actor Rangayana Raghu says, 'I am very happy. I thank the director and producer who gave me an opportunity for choosing me for this role and the audiences who supported me and encouraging me.'

Best Supporting Actor in Tamil Pasupati says, 'I thank my parents who gave me birth and made me to achieve this award. At the same time, I specially thank Super Good Choudary for giving me a chance to play the role.'

Best Supporting Actor in Telugu Saikumar says, 'I always used to say that I started watching the industry right when I was in my mother's womb. Some people discouraged me for doing a negative character in 'Samanyudu'. But, the character I played in 'Samanyudu' is a turning point in my film career. I am accepting such roles only to prove that I am a good artiste. Bagging an award for such character is quite supporting and encouraging for me in this regard.'

Tamil Best Character Artiste Female Saranya says, 'I have bagged an award for a serious character which I did last year. This year, I again bagged the Filmfare award for a humorous character. I am very happy.'
