70 dead in twin blasts in Pakistan

70 people have been reported dead and several others grievously injured in the twin blasts in Parachinar town of Pakistan. The attacks on Friday have clouded the town in a veil of mourning when residents should have been ready to celebrate Eid.
A total of 261 victims, 62 of whom are in critical condition, have been admitted to a government-run hospital in the town.
4 police officers were killed at gun point at a restaurant in Karachi and 14 people killed in a suicide car bombing neat the police chief`s office in Quetta, southwester Pakistan.
A military spokesman alleged that the attacks were cross-border terrorism spilling out of neighbouring Afghanistan and promised better border security. Prime Minister Nawaz Sherif condemned the attack.
