70 people have been reported dead and several others grievously injured in the twin blasts in Parachinar town of Pakistan. The attacks on Friday have clouded the town in a veil of mourning when residents should have been ready to celebrate Eid.

A total of 261 victims, 62 of whom are in critical condition, have been admitted to a government-run hospital in the town.

4 police officers were killed at gun point at a restaurant in Karachi and 14 people killed in a suicide car bombing neat the police chief`s office in Quetta, southwester Pakistan.

A military spokesman alleged that the attacks were cross-border terrorism spilling out of neighbouring Afghanistan and promised better border security. Prime Minister Nawaz Sherif condemned the attack.
