Sudeep does it again with aplomb. His last direction and acting was `Kempegowda' a remake of `Singham' was a top grosser. This one `Maanikya' a remake of `Mirchi' Telugu film is mind blowing in many ways. Action and sentiments on the one side, winning hearts from `Love and Affection' this film focus is the need of the hour in our social life too.

It is spectacular in action, tremendous acting potentiality, superb production values, captivating screenplay, visual treat in camera and very good songs add up to the value of the film `Maanikya'.

With an actor like Sudeep on silver screen you have all the requisites of a spectacular treat. His screen presence, stylish attitude, dialogue delivery and the tall order he sets and proves is a big asset of this `Maanikya'. He is the real gem and first half gives the ticket price. Second half is a massive bonus for masses.

From the peace camp of Adisesha (V Ravichandran) is Jai (Sudeep) in the rival camp that is divided decades ago. The thirst for finishing Adisesha camp is very high in Beera (Ravishanker) camp. Jai makes a few attempts to change the attitude of a few in the huge family. When the big attempt is made to finish off Adisesha camp that is on a pilgrimage trip Jai comes to the rescue. In the flash back that Jai is narrated to Manasa (Ranya) we find Jai living with his mother (Ramya Krishna) and going to meet his father Adisesha and falling in love with Sindhu (Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar). At this cozy atmosphere also the hell breaks out and Jai loses his mother in the attack make him to turn violent in front of his father. Knowing the vengeance in the mind of his son Jai, he is discarded by his father Adisesha. What peace propagation Adisesha focus, his son takes up again. Is he successful in his mission and father-son rejoins? You have to watch it in the climax.

Kichcha Sudeep screen presence, looks, costume, style, action, romantic moods, naughty moments, dialogue delivery is at high standards. He is such a wonderful actor to sit through and watch. V Ravichandran has done a role according to his age and steals the show from his quietness.

There are a dozen actors with caliber in which Ravishanker gets high marks for his dialogue delivery and expression of vengeance. Sadhu Kokila and Nagashekhar comedy track is also impressive.

The dialogues from Ravi Srivatsa are well measured for the situations. Three songs are on top. The stylish song for Sudeep with Bollywood style and Jeeva Jeeva song in complete graphic technology are additional boon to the cinema lovers. Arjun Janya offers a bonus in the beginning with top directors - Yogaraj Bhat, Shashank, Arjun , Guruprasad and others come in the title song.

This is the best of cameraman Shekar Chandru. He has given every shot with magnificent capacity in `Maanikya'.

`Maanikya' is a precious pearl for the action lovers. The families in feud could take a lesson. A mass movie from Kichcha Sudeep!
