Actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has condemned the murder of Gauri Lankesh, the Bengaluru-based journalist. In a series of tweets, Power Star has said that he won't blame anyone until the facts of the case come out.

Below is the text of his tweets:

"A bullet in the forehead cannot and will not stop the expression of a committed individual, who is equipped with a tiny pen in hand and with a raging fire in the heart for social commitment and justice.

In a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-linguistic, multi-cultural, regional, sub-regional, and of great geographical and cultural diversity, we are bound to have opposing political views. And sometimes, situations may get out of control, but nevertheless, an opinion expressed met with a brutal killing is not justified. Don't kill the spirit of our founding fathers.

It would be unfair on my part to blame Hindutva forces without knowing the facts.

But the killing has reminded me of the preface of a book titled 'The Other Path', written by Hernando De Soto, a Peruvian economist. When the Shining Path Guerillas of the Maoist movement blasted the Institute of Liberty & Democracy, which was working to bring in progressive economic reforms to revive the crippled economy of Peru with a car bomb containing 400 kilos of dynamite and ammonium nitrate, which had left scores of people dead, mutilated and wounded, also causing colossal property loss, the ILD think-tank said, "When your opposition run out of arguments, they can only make statements with gun powder. They don't know what to do anymore. And this shows we are winning and the opposition is losing their ground". And eventually, the ILD won.

I don't know whether the perpetrators of this heinous crime against a frail, senior journalist will ever be caught or punished. But I can say that they are losing their ground. One Gauri killed is going to create a million Gauris. May her soul rest in peace. Jai Hind."
