After the uncertainty as to who would be the producer of Vettaiyadu Villaiyadu featuring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, the buzz is that noted financier and film producer Manickam Narayanan of Seventh Channel has taken up the movie.

Narayanan has produced a couple of movies before in Tamil and has financed a few. He has also successfully conducted star nite shows across the globe.

After producer Khaja Mohideen's attempted suicide over, rumors were agog that Oscar Ravichandran would take up the movie. However, when he denied, one wondered at the plight of the movie. Now that Manickam has taken the mantle, Gowtham Menon will do it on a first copy basis for Narayanan and the movie would grace the theatres in April.
