Supreme Court had directed the state government of Gujarat yesterday to provide police protection to theatres that wish to show Fanaa. Although the multiplex association president of Gujarat Manubhai Patel was of the opinion that Aamir-Kajol starrer is a week old and it has lost its initial charm, Ambar, a single screen theatre in Jamnagar in Gujarat has gone ahead and decided to screen three shows of Fanaa daily from today.

According to the manager of Ambar, there’s a huge demand for the film and they had never taken off the film posters. After the instructions given by the Supreme Court, theatre owner asked for police protection and they have got the requisite help from the administration. Now, the brigade of young guns who have been traveling all the way to Mumbai and Pune to watch the film shall be heading for a city close by.

Meanwhile Aamir Khan in what he stated was his last press conference on the Narmada issue stuck to his stand and welcomed the Supreme Court judgement yesterday. He reiterated that he loves the people of Gujarat and if anyone is questioning what he said then in a way they are questioning the highest judicial body within the country.
