Aamir Khan gets emotional letters from theatre owners

Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' has not only touched the hearts of the audience, but has also proved to be a boon for the Entertainment industry. The year 2016 witnessed a lull by the Hindi Film Industry and Christmas bonanza 'Dangal' proved to be the tide changer in the economics of the Hindi Film Industry.

Following which the actor received letters from single screen theatre owners on how his film 'Dangal' saved them from being out of business. The letters addressed by Single Screen theatre owners expressed how year 2015 and 2016 witnessed a major low by the film business, making it difficult for them to survive in the business.

Letters written by exhibitors and distributors to Aamir Khan consist of them thanking the actor as they felt they got a lease of life with the tremendous response to 'Dangal'.

The actor was touched reading the emotional letters written to him. Said Aamir, "It has been a very exciting and fulfilling journey. When I look back at my career, all my decisions - on the face of it - have mostly been impractical and risky, with the latest instance being Dangal (2016). Also, I have been able to do the kind of work that I believe in. Not all of us are lucky enough to be in the position where you can choose to do what you want. I feel very grateful to be in that position. I am able to do the work that I love".
