The perfectionist said "The passion with which Murugadoss has remade the film is commendable. I appreciate the energy and passion with which he has made the film for the second time. He infused his energy in the film and it connected with the audience and turned it into such a big hit".

To give more strength to his appreciation for the director who succeeded in churning out a better second version of 'Gajini', Aamir added that he can never remake his own directorial venture 'Taare Zameen Par' and even if he ever makes it, he will not be able to make it with the same passion.
