In an age of ‘inspiration and remix’, every movie has taken some memorable nuances or the other from old classics. And Mr. Perfectionist is no different.

For his wife Kiran Rao’s debut directorial ‘Dhobi Ghat’, Aamir Khan said to be including the famous 1958 song “Dil Tadap Tadap Ke” from Dilip Kumar starrer ‘Madhumati’. The new version will, of course, feature Aamir.

The star said to have approached the family of Bimal Roy, who had directed ‘Madhumati’, for acquiring the rights of the song. The family in turn was quite willing to give away the rights, for Aamir’s uncle Nasir Hussain and Bimal Roy were close friends.

It seems the family is also fine if Aamir remixes the song. According to a family source it would be so nice if such a song of the golden era is made available to the young generation.

Hmmm, but hope it carries the same wonderful essence of the old version.
