Aandavan Kattalai
'Aandavan Kattalai' is the third outing of director Manikandan of 'Kaaka Muttai' and 'Kuttramey Thandanai' fame. Both the films directed by Manikandan who is also the cinematographer of his films have been unanimously acclaimed by critics. For 'Aandavan Kattalai' he has teamed up with well established stars like Vijay Sethupathi and Ritika Singh of 'Irudhi Suttru' fame for the first time.
Vijay Sethupathi plays the lead role of a youngster coming to Chennai from a village to go to a foreign country for job. The story will be about what this busy Metropolitan city does to him and what he learns from that. Ritika Singh plays the journalist of a Tamil News Channel.
The film will deal with the problems relating to issuance of Passport in a entertaining manner.
From the trailer we could guess that unlike Manikandan's first two films, 'Aandavan Kattalai' will have ingredients like romance and comedy required for a commercial entertainer.
Nasser, Pooja Devaria, Yogi Babu, Cheenu Mohan, Ramesh Thilak and many others have played supporting roles. K is handling the musical score. N. Shanmuga Sundaram has handled the cinematography. Anucharan the director and Editor of 'Kirumi' has Edited this film.
The film has been produced by G.N. Anbuchezhiyan of Gopuram Films banner and it will be distributed in theatres by Sri Green Productions.
'Aandavan Kattalai' has acquired a clean U certificate from the Censor Board and it has been scheduled to hit the screens on September 23, 2016.
