`Aanmai Thavarel' is the first straight production venture of leading distributor and film financer Kamal Nayan under his banner Red Head Entertainments.

`Aanmai Thavarel' is an action-love story that travels from Chennai to Goa. Debut director Kuzhandhai Velappan has directed this film.

The hero is a former model Dhruva and the heroine is Sruthi, Both are debutants. Subbu Panchu, the brother of Arya in `Boss Engira Baskaran' is the villain. `Ganja' Karuppu and Sampath are other notable names.

The audio of `Aanmai Thavarel' was launched on September 22 by Udhayanidhi Stalin and received by Arya.

The film's music is by Mariya Manohar and Karthik Netha has written the lyrics. The film has five songs and they are very different from each other. Mariya Manohar is a revelation here. Hear them, you'll know.

1. Kadhal Adaimazhai Kaalam - Listen here

Singers: Krish, Ramya

Lyricist: Karthik Netha

The album opens with a soothingly flowing rain song by Krish and Ramya. Amazing vocals and a very straightforward instrumental back up make this song a great number. When Krish is singing a romantic number from the heart pain is a pleasure. Ramya is a little posh and a perfectly distinguishing a contrast.

Two interludes playing same tune with piano and harmonica are nice. Neat flow and variations in mood marks this as a long living romantic song. Though there is a rich Harris Jayaraj shadow looms in this song at the end of it you've got a nice melody to cherish. Pick of the pack!

2. Satta Sada Sada - Listen here

Singers: Karthikeyan, Naveen

Lyricist: Karthik Netha

An angry war cry to rise and decimate the women abusers. "Satta Sada Sada" has the punchy lines and fittingly forceful arrangement to drive home the message. A folksy tempo is stirring the pulses. Karthikeyan's bold voice has the emotions required for the lines. This must be a terrific situational number.

3. Vazhiyil Thuzhaindhu - Listen here

Singers: Srini, Padmalatha

Lyricist: Karthik Netha

"Vazhiyil Thuzhaindhu" is a template pathos song. The opening violins and the following flute are inviting. The chorus is warm and Srini has done decently trying to put life. Nothing unusual but it is still likeable.

4. Nona Nana - Listen here

Singers: PRX, Dev, MC. Loga, Mariya Manogar, Vinaitha, Krithika

Lyricist: Karthik Netha

Some important scenes in the film happens in Goa and this must be a song right there. A party song with electronic synthesizers playing characters. A heady cosmopolitan mix with some bizarre lyric, Nona Nana will be loved by people who like the Goa trance.

5. Kadhal Adaimazhai (Remix) - Listen here

Singers: Abhilash, Krish, Vinaitha, Ramya

Lyricist: Karthik Netha

A popular culture re-mix of the first melody. The urban style mix is immensely likeable as much as the original melody. The vocals are seamlessly laid over the instrumentals and the song sounds great even in this form.

With `Aanmai Thavarel', Mariya Manohar has sent out a strong message that he is to be followed in future.
