AAP for Meira Kumar as Prez

Aam Aadmi Patry (AAP) led by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal might back Meira Kejriwal, the candidate chosen by the 17-party Opposition in a bid to not support the BJP candidate, according to some sources. This comes as surprise, as AAP was not allowed to participate in the discussion to select a presidential candidate and is not part of the 17-party group of non-NDA parties.

JD (U) led by Nitish Kumar has decided not to support the Opposition`s candidate. But with AAP backing the candidate, the loss has been more or less compensated, as the party has 86 MLAs and four Lok Sabha MPs.
