The chemistry between Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja resulted in many chartbusters in the past. For the first time in his career, Selva teamed up with G V Prakash Kumar for `Aayirathil Oruvan', and this chemical reaction too is a gift to the ears of music lovers.

The young music composer has given a blend of classical, modern and ancient stuff in the album. Prakash has mastered the musical instruments from the ancient centuries and has spelled a tremendous job.

The album comprises of 10 songs with new singers like Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya singing. Interestingly, Selva too has wielded the pen this time. It is a collection worth listening for Prakash's hardwork.

1. Oh Eesa

Singer: Karthik, Andrea Jeremiah

With best percussions and hard rock guitars on the roll, the song is smooth to listen to thanks to Karthik and Andrea's sizzling voices. The lyrics are by Selva and Andrea. Prakash's orchestration adds to the beauty.

2. Maalai Neram

Singer: Andrea Jeremiah, G V Prakash Kumar

Guitar used in any form is pleasant to listen to. Much in the style of Illayaraja, the song begins on a soft tone with Prakash at the helm of affairs rendering the number in style, accompanied by Andrea. Mild beats and less instrumentation are the highlights of the song.

3. Un Mela Aasadhan

Singer: Dhanush, Aishwarya Dhanush and Andrea Jeremiah

Dhanush has crooned the number in the company of his wife Aishwarya and Andrea. It is a peppy song with folk-rap fusion in between. The orchestrations with best synthesizers work magic. The actor has rendered it with ease, while his better-half's voice sounds sweet.

4. The King Arrives

Singer: Neil Mukherji and Madras Augustin Choir

A fresh and scintillating stuff from Prakash. It gives a refreshing feel everytime you listen to it. The number has various instruments involved with splendid use of guitars and wonderful percussion.

5. Thai Thindra Mannae

Singer: Vijay Yesudas, Nithyashree Mahadevan and Shri Krishna

A splendid piece of soft music which has Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil lyrics in it. The singers have crooned with perfect modulation. With Vijay Yesudas and Nithyahsree giving their heart out, it is sure to mesmerise the listeners.

6. Permannae

Singer: Bombay Jayashree, P B Srinivas

The man who was synonymous to melodies in 1960s P B Srinivas is here to sing the song in the company of Bombay Jayashree. A beautifully orchestrated piece, the song strikes it rich thanks to the modulation of the singers. Appealing lyrics by Vairamuthu adds to the shine.

7. Celebration of Life

Singer: Flute Instrumentation by Naveen

A different sound from Prakash. Good usage of flute with strains of Punjabi Dandiya gives one an energetic feel. No doubt, you listen to it and you'll love this number.

8. Thai Thindra Manne

Singer: Vijay Yesudas

Quite different from its earlier version, the song has Vijay Yesudas singing with more classical touch, reminding his dad's heydays. Vijay Yesudas modulates much more uniquely from the other number.

9. Indha Paadhai

Singer: GV Prakash Kumar

The song dwells more on movie's theme, penned by Selva himself. The mild beats and GV's voice attracts you. It has loud music and catchy lyrics that would set the momentum in the movie.

10. Oh Eesa

Singer: Andrea Jeremiah, Karthik and Big Nikk

The remix version has peppy beats and rhythms rendered by Big Nikk. The song will go straight on to the disco floors.

On the whole, `Aayirathil Oruvan' has songs that are strikingly different from others. Prakash has proved that has immense talent and he is sure to go places.
