ABCD - dances superbly at B.O garners 19.5 crore weekend

UTV spot boys first dedicated dance flick in 3D ABCD - Any Body Can Dance has registered itself as the first sleeper hit of 2013.. the 12 crore budget movie has garnered a handsome19.5 crore weekend net and is growing in popularity.

Opening with 5.5 crore on Friday the movie attracted the young at ‘heart and feet’ jumping to 6.5 crore on Saturday and 7.5 crore on Sunday.. Giving tough competition to Akshay Kumar biggie Special Chhabis, on the opening day ABCD has registered the biggest opening for a no star film in Bollywood history.

Shares, says Gaurav Verma, Director - India Theatrical Distribution, Studios, Disney UTV. "We are happy with performance of ABCD, its doing extremely well everywhere.

Viewers are enjoying the film, they are whistling, dancing inside the auditoriums. We just wish if we had more 3D screens so that more viewers can enjoy the ABCD experience. 3D screens are running to packed houses everywhere," ABCD Opened in 750 screens - 400 3D, 350 2D.
