Abhishek Bachchan hasn't had much success going with films like 'Raavan', 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se' and 'Game', despite being helmed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Mani Ratnam and Farhan Akhtar respectively, not doing well commercially. Naturally, all eyes are now on how would 'Dum Maaro Dum' perform.

Though 'Dum Maaro Dum' is an out and out commercial film, 'Raavan' and 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se' took an offbeat path. When asked whether he took into consideration the commercial prospects of these films before signing them, Abhishek comments, "See, I have not quite understood the concept of art v/s commercial cinema for so many years now."

When asked to elaborate, Abhishek says, "Somehow when we talk about entertainment, we equate it to comedy. Fortunately though this is not always the case. Look at 'Guru'? Was it a comedy? But then didn't it provide wholesome entertainment? Or for that matter 'Paa'? Did you find anything comical out there? We need to be flexible around what we want to make when we talk about giving entertainment to our audience. This is where films like 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se' and 'Raavan' came in."

Well Abhishek, with films like 'Players', 'Ladies and Gentleman', 'Department', 'Bol Bachchan', 'Dostana 2' and the mother of them all - 'Dhoom 3' up your sleeves, rest assured audience won't have much to complain when it comes to expecting wholesome commercial entertainment.
