For days, speculations were rife that things turned sour between 'Fitoor' director Abhishek Kapoor and National award winning designer Niharika Khanna. Following which Khanna made a sudden exit from the project. However, official sources of late clarified that all is well between the two professionals.

According to sources, Abhishek, who recently got married, was busy with his wedding preparations and then straight back to the shooting of the film. It came as quite a shock to the director-producer to read the report of a fallout between him and close friend Niharika Khanna, who is part of his inner circle and was at his wedding.

Sources close to the production stated that the reports are baseless and Niharika`s exit from the film was her own choice. Contrary to the allegations that he was not happy with her work, Abhishek had in fact requested her to return and had even arranged for additional funds for her vision, but due to logistical issues it didn't work out.

Putting speculation to rest, Abhishek said, "Niharika is a very dear friend and will always be. More so, as a professional, she and her team have worked very hard on the film. As for the story from 'sources close to the film' about Niharika and I arguing on set, those sources misunderstood whatever they thought they heard or saw, for we do that all the time because that's the comfort level we have as friends."

After Niharika and Anahita it will be Manish Malhotra's turn to take over on 'Fitoor' as grand diva Rekha , whose wardrobe has been handled by him, will return to shoot in the next schedule.

Abhishek is currently in the best phase of his career with 'Fitoor', the ambitious adaption of the Charles Dickens classic Great Expectations`. The film has Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif in lead.
