Actor Santhanam has come in for a big blow in his personal life as his father Neelamegam (69) has passed away.

Indiaglitz spoke to Santhanam's relative Nagaraj who has been with his father during his last days. He said that Neelamegam was admitted to a private hospital in Sozhinganallur Chennai for physical weakness and he has been undergoing treatment in the hospital for the past one and a half months. Unfortunately, he breathed his last at 4 pm today.

The mortal remains will be taken to their home at Pozhichalur and final rites will happen tomorrow.
