Prabhu Deva who is called as the 'Indian Michael Jackson' thanks to his extraordinary dancing skilleshas proved his talents in various verticals within the film industry. While he remained one of the leading heroes until early years of the new millennium he is also one of the highly sought after and revered choreographers in multiple film industries. However off late he is concentrating more in direction. While he has directed Telugu and Tamil films in the later part of the last decade with equal number of hits and flops, he moved on to Bollywood and has almost become a full time Bollywood director these days.

His latest film 'Action Jackson' starring Ajay Devgan in the lead role released over the weekend on December. The film has received mixed response from the audience as well as critics. Actor Kartchik Kumar who runs a Theatre group and has acted in films like 'Kanda Naal Mudhal', 'Poi Solla Poro,' and 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' has trolled Prabhu Deva recently. As a South Indian born he has apologised to the Hindi speaking heartland for producing a director like Prabhu. He has tweeted " "On behalf of the nation of #SouthIndia we apologize to our neighbouring friendly #NorthIndia for unleashing #prabhudeva as a director on u." (Sic)".
