Today is the 33rd birthday of Trisha. Certain things defy the rule of nature and Trisha's age is one among them. Her age has never had a bearing on her appearance, ability to perform or her career in the glamour driven industry.

In fact getting older has only helped Trisha to be more matured as an actress and more strong as a person. Seeing her recent selection of roles, we can expect her to do more and more memorable characters in the coming years. Looks wise also her charm is intact and there is no replacement for her beautiful smile

This is Trisha's 14th year in film industry and she still remains one of the most sought after heroines of Kollywood. No other actress except Trisha and her peer Nayanthara has retained the top heroine position for these many years in Tamil film industry.

After winning Miss Salem, Miss Madras and Miss Beautiful Smile beautiful pageants,Trisha entered film industry with a pinch of reluctance. But once after getting into the profession she has been focused in what she does. She keeps acting in multiple films in Tamil and Telugu languages at a time and spent most of her time in shooting spots and flights. She has been victimized by so many controversies but none of them have succeeded in making her quit.

While in Tamil she became popular by acting with superstar heroes Vikram and Vijay in the blockbuster action flicks 'Samy and 'Ghillie'. her Telugu career started with performance oriented roles. She won the filmfare award for her performance in her debut film 'Varsham'.

Even in Tamil, once in a while, Tirsha surprised everyone with brilliant performances in 'Abhiyum Naanum' and 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya'.

At a very young age, Trisha has won the Nandi Award given by Andhra Pradesh State Government and the prestigious Kalaimamani title given by the Tamil Nadu Government. She has also won a few Filmfare awards.

The recent releases and the upcoming flicks of Trisha gives room to think that she has decided to shed off the 'hero's love interest' girl image. She has been resorting to matured characters and also ventures into a lot of experimentation.

She captured the hearts of everyone with a captivating performance as danseuse Hemanika who is also a single parent of a child in 'Yennai Arindhal' directed by Gautham Menon. In 'Thoongavanam' she acted a bold woman cop for the first time. In Sundar.C.'s 'Aranmanai 2' her convincing portrayal of a girl possessed by a ghost won critical appreciation. She has also completed acting in 'Kodi' which is not only her first film with Dhanush but also her first character with negative shades. She reportedly plays a politician in the film. She has also completed acting in 'Nayaki' a Tamil-Telugu bilingual a horror comedy with her character playing the central part. She has also crooned a song for the first time in this film.

With many firsts coming back to back. Trisha's career in the coming years is going to reach more heights and the ever-charming lass is going to win more admirers and awards.

indiaglitz wishes Trisha a Happy Birthday and lots and lots of successes and accolades to decorate her professional career.
