Adi may not have become a household name despite two well-publicised films like Prema Kavali and Lovely but he has definitely showed promise, feel many industry observers. If his debut film was a hit, Lovely has not lived upto the expectations. Whatever, he has secured first class marks with this B Jaya directorial, as was hoped by his father.

What has come has a big shot in the arm for the actor is the film under the direction of Ashok of Pilla Jamindaru fame. This film was to go to Siddharth, who could not allot dates thanks to his engagement with Nandini's film opposite Samantha and two Hindi projects. How long will he be able to hold his ground will depend much on the differentiation he offers, as it is the case with every hero. His mature voice and fair looks are his assets, though he needs to show inventiveness in dialogue delivery and in delivering comedy. He looks good in intense scenes, much like his father. One hopes that he bags a cop story at this juncture without, of course, running the risk of being stereotyped.

In the hands of a good director and a well-written script, Adi can hope to make achieve what he could not achieve with his first two films.
