Unni Vijayan's ‘Lessons in Forgetting’ has brought actor Adil Hussain a sweet memory which he apparently won’t forget ever.

Adil reported to have won the Best Actor Award at a US festival for his performance in the film, which in fact is an adaptation of Anita Nair's book with the same name.

‘Lessons in Forgetting’ won two awards at New Jersey Independent South Asian Cine Festival (NJISACF) held recently. While Hussain was honoured with the Best Actor award, Roshni Achreja received the Best Supporting Actress.

The talented Adil has done movies like ‘Ishqiya’, ‘Life of Pi’ and latest played Sridevi’s husband in ‘English Vinglish’.

In ‘Lessons in Forgetting’, Adil plays JA Krishnamurthy aka JAK an eminent cyclone expert.

The film’s story is about how JAK goes on a mission to find the reason behind the death of his nineteen year-old daughter Smriti, who passed away in a fatal freak accident.

Achreja as Meera in the film, gets employed under JAK as his assistant and proves to be very helpful in solving important part of the mystery.
